Philosophy &
Curriculum
Kinder Village is a play-based childcare center that is focused on three main concepts:
01
Intergenerational Programming:
One of our philosophies is our intergenerational programming that strives to enrich the lives of the older adults on campus. Our goal is to form relationships between our Kinders and Grandfriends on campus. We have monthly activities planned throughout our assisted living, 2 skilled nursing, and independent communities.
02
Learning Through Play:
The philosophy of play-based learning is that play is a key way for children to learn, develop, and grow. Teachers provide thoughtful guidance to support children's learning and development, and to help them build agency and independence. Play-based learning focuses on building social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and resolving conflicts.
03
Learn Every Day Curriculum:
Kinder Village uses Kaplan’s Learn Every Day Curriculum. Learn Every Day is a comprehensive curriculum for preschoolers that has 36 units and more than 1,300 activities to incorporate literacy, math, science, social studies, and the creative arts in ways that will enable our students to Learn Every Day!
